6 months old

Alex and Aiden turned 6 months on Tuesday. They are now both turning over. Both are trying to sit, but cannot sit well unassisted.
Here are some of the milestones for 6 months:

1. Should be able to do:

  • Keep head level when pulled to sitting (both)
  • vowel-consonant combinations (Aiden a little)

2. Will probably be able to do:

  • bear some weight on legs (Aiden, Alex a little)
  • sit without support (neither)

3. May possibly be able to do:

  • stand holding on to someone or something (neither)
  • feed self a cracker (neither)
  • object if you take a toy away (neither)
  • look for dropped object (neither)
  • pass object from on hand to another (neither)
  • turn in direction of a voice(both to familiar voices)

They have mastered everything they should have by 5 months which is where they should be adjusted age. They are enjoying fruits and veggies and are now eating meats. We go to the doctor on Friday for their 6 month check-up and shots (yeah).

Wes and Abby

Saints Game

Go Saints!
We celebrated the Saints' victory at Aunt Gerry's Saturday night. The boys enjoyed playing with Emma and got so much attention from everyone there. Wes developed a crush on Monica, Shawn's girlfriend.

Unseasonal Weather

The warm weather has enabled us to be able to play outside quite a bit the past few days. Alex and Aiden love the outdoors just as much as their big brother.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to everyone! 2006 was definately one we will NEVER forget!

Alex and Aiden are getting so big (15lb5oz and 16 lbs 11 oz respectively). They are really trying to turn over and to sit. The turning over is a little late, but everything else is on track for their adjusted age.

Wesley was excited to go back to school -- much more excited than I was. He has definately been tired at night though.

We are still making dr visits with Alex. He cannot get rid of this chest conjestion. He is now on an increased dosage of one of the inhalers, and dooing breathing treatments every 4-6 hours. I was actually glad that the doctor was able to hear the wheezing this time. I feel like such a paranoid mom bringing him in so often, especially since he is so happy. I did feel much better this time. He said he is definately wheezing pretty badly. It could be from so many things, so we started by putting him back on Prevacid for reflux. He had been doing so good with that we took him off, but silent reflux can make the other stuff worse. We start with that and then move on to whether he has allergies, asthma, or something else. I am just lucky that he stays so happy. Here is a picture of Aiden doing a treatment. HE still does them at least 2 times a day.

We have been enjoying visiting with Kaci, Chris and Abby. She is so little. I cannot imagine what it will be like in one year with all 4 of them.
