Bathtime 2

Welcome Home

Aunt Kristen is back in the United States! She has been deployed for 6 months and is now home - in San Antonio. She has to stay there for 2 weeks then plans on visiting. She sent the boys a present right before she left. Thank you!

N. O. Children's Museum

Wesley's class went on a field trip to the Children's Museum Thursday. I took off and went with them. He had a wonderful time. We are definately planning to go back this summer!

Live Feed Sidebar

You may have noticed, we have added a live feed sidebar on the blog. We never really know who checks the blog. We update it frequently for those near and far to see what is happening in our everyday lives, but we also are using it as a journal through the boys' young years (and maybe beyond). It is interesting to know, though, who "out there" is reading about the boys. OR I guess more accurately is where it is being read since the live feed gives a city and state the blog is being read from. All of the other links are listed below this sidebar.

Our Weekend Away

For Christmas, mom and dad gave us a weekend at the Royal Sonesta in New Orleans. We had a French Quarter Balcony room. It was so nice. Mom babysat my three boys and baby Glenn. We went with Kirby and Shannon and met another couple in New Orleans.

Me and Shannon on the balcony of our rooms.

Kirby and Shannon

OK this is not typically me, but I had to post it so some would know I at least tried it. We had a really great time of going out. I don't do this very often, but it was lots of fun.

We went to Cats Meow and Kirby made Shannon get up on stage for karaoke. (and a surprise)

He actually did it -- down on one knee and all! Congrats you 2!

And we finished the weekend with a nice stroll Sunday ALL around the French Quarter. We actually walked the whole quarter this weekend - from Harrah's to the French Market. And quite a few times. It was only bad walking back, but that was also after we tried riding the bull at one of the country bars the night before (that is harder than you could imagine - sorry I won't post the pics for that.)

Again, thank you Mom and Dad for such a nice weekend! I am glad the boys were so well behaved for you!

Camp

We went to the camp this past weekend. It was really nice to get away for a couple of days. The boys could not get enough of the 4 wheeler. Here are a few pictures from our weekend.

Alex had barely walked in the camp and got a big bruise on his forhead. He ran through the camp to the back porch where PawPaw was with the truck and 4Wheeler. He tried "running" down the steps, but did not make it.

Wes enjoyed gathering logs to have a campfire. A few months ago, part of the land was logged, so there is plenty of logs and twigs just the right size for him to gather.

The flyswatter was not really to kill bugs, just a toy for Aiden.
The boys enjoy playing in bed with PawPaw.

The twins would not sleep in the room by themselves. They both slept in the bed with me. We are not really sure why, except to say a differnet place and they were really exhausted.I guess to make me not get upset, Aiden sat up in the middle of the night, felt around on my face, and then started giving me kisses. It was the sweetest thing. I had to keep that in mind when my back was hurting the next morning from sleeping with the boys.
Aiden's wild hair -- he was running toward me at the time. Wes loves his coffee milk in the morning. This is a tradition at the camp - his special thing with Aunt Gerry.

I don't want to leave!!!
