Vacation: Last Day

As we were packing up to leave Sunday morning, Kirby realized that he could not find his keys. We searched the condo and by the pool, but no luck. 4 hours and $350 later we were finally on our way. So where did those keys go? After they got home, they found the keys in the bag of diapers (not the diaper bag - the bag the diapers came in) It was at the bottom of the bag. It must have fallen from the dresser and as we were searching, fell to the bottom of the bag. Well, it is a story to tell I guess.

We ate lunch in the lobby of the condo - Burger King.

Vacation: More Pictures

Vacation: AAAALEEEX!!!!!!

I hope I don't get in trouble for this post (pics of my child drinking at 2 years old). Alex found this bottle in the trash and quickly sat and put it to his mouth. It was so funny how quickly he did this.
If this is what he does at 2, what can we expect at 12? and teenage years?!!!?!!!?
Oh my!

Vacation: The Beach

Vacation: More Beach

The twins were not too crazy about the sand at first, but they warmed up to it a little. Since out condo was on the bay and not the beach, we did not spend much time on the beach.

Vacation: Waterville USA

Friday we went to the waterpark. The weather really held up - originally we were predicted to have about 60% chance of thunderstorms. We lucked out. We did leave about 2 because the boys were so tired.

Glenn slept when right when we got there.
Alex and Aiden on the slides:

Now Wesley's turn: Alex and Glenn with Aunt Shannon:
The next 3 pictures show Wes and Parrian Kirby coming down the "Gold Rush." In the first, they are about to go down the last part of the slide - you can see the green raft mostly. Next is the big splash. Finally, they were in the pool. Wes loved the slides. I thought he would be a little scared, but after going once, we could not stop him.

Wes and I went on the go-cacrts. He was ready to go back to the slides though. This was too hot.

Vacation: Overtired

The twins have been so stubborn when it comes to sleep. We knew it might have been a challenge, and, well, it has. The only times they have napped is in the car coming back from a trip (The pictures here are from the drive back after the Naval Aviation Museum.) At night we have put on a movie, laid with them, tried to trick them into going to bed, let them cry -just about anything - to get them to bed. (Oh and riding in the car to try to get them to sleep doesn't work cause the moment we stop, they are ready to go again.) I do not know how they get so much energy!

Aiden was trying so hard to stay awake, but it did not work!

Vacation: National Naval Aviation Museum

Thursday morning we visited the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola. I went once before when Nana had her condo in Perdido Key. It was even more awesome than I remembered: lots of great US history, lots of planes, a section on life in the 40s, etc. We had a great time.

Vacation: Relaxing at the Condo

Before I wrote that we rarely are true tourist - this is what we much rather do, although the touring is fun in bits and pieces.
