We try to get the kids together on Wednesdays to do something fun. Today we went to Chucky Cheese. The twins went to the babysitter since they would not be able to do anything there. Wes was able to have a little more attention also. We also had other friends on vacation, so it was only Beth and Cade and me and Wes. we had a wonderful time though!

Daniel's Brithday
Tuesday was Daniel's 28th birthday. We threw a little party for him. Wes wanted to get him balloons, streamers, and noise makers. We had a red velvet cake and BBQed with family.

Aiden and Abby
Abby loved the balloons!
The Three Munchkins
The twins liked the balloons also. They would pull the string
and laugh at the baloon that followed!

Our Anniversary
Sunday was our seventh anniversary. We stayed home and celebrated with our family eating crabs (basically becasue I was too tired to go out that night.) We are planning to do that this week though.

Fast as can be, you can't catch me!
Aiden started crawling about a week ago, but picked up on the idea very quickly. Within a week he is as fast as Alex. We definately have to keep doors and cabinets closed now! Wes also thinks this is the best game -- he can crawl around with his brothers. Here they are when I caught them racing down the hallway.
Vacation, Vacation, Vacation!!!!!!!
We had our first vacation with the twins last week. We went to Orange Beach and stayed at Pheonix X. It was beautiful, and we had a wonderful time. We played at the pool and on the beach. We also went Saturday morning for a dolphin tour. The boys were very well behaved, although they did not sleep as well as normal. Of course, they were in a strange place and not in their beds. I never would have thought a year ago that we would have ventured on a vacation with all three already, but we had a lot of fun!
1st Hair Cut
Tuesday, I took Aiden to April's for his first hair cut. His hair was falling to his eyes when wet and he really did not like this, so we had April trim the front part. His hair is still a little longer in the back, but I did not want a full hair cut cause it would make him look older. We will wait a few more months for that.

Getting Better . . . Finally
Well Jennifer, you were right. We all got this nasty stomach virus. The twin started us off Wed., but Wes and I came down with it Friday, and Daniel Saturday. My mom and Daniel's parents and sister also had the virus. The boys' doctor told us it is going around fast -- everyone seems to have it, but we hadn't heard of it before Wed. The twins are still not right, and neither am I, but Daniel and Wes seem to have gotten over it pretty fast. Hopefully, we should be good for a while now.

Long Week and Sick Babies
I started our summer program this week. It is only 2 weeks long from 8-11:30, and the first week has already come and gone. It is rather easy work. I am enjoying it, even though it is summer.
We also had Wes's speech evaluation Tuesday. IT looks like he will definately qualify, but we will pretty much have to wait until school starts again for him to start receiving services.
On Wed., I met with people from Early Steps for the twins. We have been having the twins evaluated for over a month now. At their 9 month appointment, Dr Peltier was conerned about their physical development, so he suggested an evaluation. They did not pass the screening, and qualified in more than one area for the evaluation. Aiden showed a 11% delay in communication, 33% delay in physical, 22% delay in cognition, 44% delay in social emotional, and no delay in adaptive. Alex, on the other hand, showed a 67% delay in communication, 22% physical, 22% cognitive, 44% social emotional, and no delay in adaptive. Of course since then, they have grown so much developmentally that this would have changed significantly, but they would still qualify for services with their delays.
Each baby will receive and hour a week of therapy (physical/occupational) from a physical therapist and instructional therapist ( They will rotate weeks and work in different areas). Their therapy sessions begins next week. I cannot get over how much quicker this went than getting Wesley evaluated for speech.
AND TO END THE WEEK, the twins started with a stomach virus yesterday. We went take family pictures with Daniel's family. After we ate, Alex got sick in the parking lot. He continued throwing up every 15-20 minutes for a few hours. We called the doctor and as we were waiting for him to return the call, Aiden started. Aiden and Wes were at Mom's since Alex was sick. Wesley, Daniel, and I seemed to have escaped it so far (fingers crossed and knocking on wood)Both boys seemed a little better today, but they are both still miserable and are only on a Pedialite diet until the morning. Hopefully we are over the worst.
