We're still here

Yes we are still here even though it has been a couple of weeks since I have blogged. I really do not have a great excuse except for being busy.

Kaci and Chris were married on Friday, the 27th of July. Even though it was a rainy day, we lucked out and did not get wet. The weather stopped before the wedding. Kaci was beautiful and we had a wonderful time.

The following Sunday we had a baby shower for Shannon. She received so many things. I am not sure where she will be able to put it all. The clothes she received were so cute. (Don't worry about me getting the fever again. I will have more than enough fun with my godchild.) She is now 1cm dialated, so I am not sure if we will make it to Sept 11 -- most bets are on for the very end of this month.

And then school started. I started July 30th with meetings, and the kids came last Tuesday. The beginning of school is always so busy. It was even more so this year with the 3 boys. Wes had definately gotten accustom to staying home with me and needed some adjusted time. The twins did better, but I missed them like crazy. We finally seem to be in sync with our schedules now. Of course, we will change up this week though.

Wesley will be starting preschool at Vacherie Primary (headstart). He is so excited about this. My friend April will also be sending Ethan. Even though this program is usually for lower income families, they opened it up due to lower enrollment. Wes also automatically qualified because he is classified special education because of his speech impairment. He has yet to receive services for speech. That should begin now that he is in school. A cousin who is a speech pathologist, told me that his speech impedement should be correctable in a very short period of time.

So we go Thursday for our first day of Headstart (I will be with him this day), and Friday he goes for his first full day on his own. I know already that I will have a harder time than he will.
