Weekend Wordiness

The twins have been saying so many words the past couple of weeks. For their birthday they each had a vocabulary of 20-30 words. Now I would have to say it is well over 50. Alex is starting to combine 2 words such as PawPaw's truck and PawPaw's shoes (I know everything is abou PawPaw with both, no all 3 of the boys, these days).

Here are some of their words as of 2 years 3 1/2 weeks:

Both: mamma, dadda, granny, pawpaw, wesley, alex, aiden, glenn (for the baby), more, juice, milk, cracker, rain, elmo, barney, hot, pool, bubbles, truck, please, thank you, TV, I love you, eat, round and round (from wheels on the bus), outside, shoe, dog, ball, yes, no, eat, sit, all done.

Alex: two, wet, where's ___

Aiden: boat, bed

I am a little stuck on a few, but they are definitely coming up with new ones daily. They are repeating a lot also.

As far as the diapers coming off, they are much better. I put a short with a belt on them Tuesday night and had no problem. Since then, they are back in PJs. Last night, Alex did take it off one more time, but we changed him into a dry one and he went to sleep. We will start potty training soon. We will begin in about 2 weeks because Alex has a little surgery scheduled Friday. I don't want to start then have to restart after that. I am not sure if they are totally ready, and it will be hard with me not home all day, but it will save us lots of headache (and money!)

You an always try grey duct tape like the McNulty Quads. Have you seen that. Their four were all taking their diapers off at naptime and other times, so they started wrapping the top of the diaper with duct tape. Her pictures are hilarious, because they always run around in their diapers.

Good luck with the potty training.
