The boys love the four wheeler -- I am not sure how we will stop when we go to the camp. We were able to get a picture of each on the bike by themselves, but usually they ride together. If not, one is screaming to get on.

Bunny Cake
Wesley and I baked a bunny cake for everyone to share after the crawfish boil at Granny's. It was his reward for being so good in church and all week. I found this at Target. It is a pull-apart cake-basically cupcakes in the shape of a bunny (How awesome!).
The cupcakes were flowers for the bunny to eat. I know there is no icing around the sides, but I did not want it to be too messy for the boys to eat (or too much sugar).

Girls' Day Out
On Sunday, the girls went to New Orleans for brunch and a little shopping on Magazine Street. We had such a great time. I needed the break from working on my National Board Certification, but I only have about 1 month left (at least for this part)!!
I am so lucky to have such a close group of friends. We always have a blast!

The Aquarium
Last weekend, we took the kids to the Aquarium in New Orleans. Granny and PawPaw gave them a year membership for Christmas. They boys had a wonderful time, and so did we. We actually commented that this may have been the first "big" trip with no backup: it was only me, Daniel and the boys. Of course, this was only about a 2 hour visit, but the boys were awesome. The twins stayed in their stroller and enjoyed looking at everything. I doubt they truely understood much, but they seemed to enjoy themselves. Wes, on the other hand, was amazed at all the huge fish. He kept saying that these were bigger than the ones PawPaw catches. He loved the starfish, attempted to touch the ray, but was too scared, but did touch the shark (ironic I know). The shark was in much more shallow water and was not moving. The rays would swim right up to him, but I think he was more scared since I had to hold him over the water to touch and they were moving fast. We will be going to the zoo soon! I think the twins will enjoy that even more.

Mardi Gras!!
We kept Mardi Gras very quiet this year. We chose not to go to any parades even though the weather was wonderful. Wes is still a little under the weather. Whenever he gets just a little overheated he catches coughing fits. It really just was not worth the possibility of him getting sicker again.
Instead, we spent days outside getting some good fresh air. For Mardi Gras we went to Mom's all day with Nanna and crew and NoNo. Kirby, Shannon, and the baby were also there.
Watching the parades on TV just wasn't the same, but we had a lot of fun anyway.
Alex needed to rest his head on my lap for a minute after running circles around the yard. His head looks SO much better now!!! It is blue and slightly swollen, but no longer looks like a bouncy ball is stuck under his skin (that is about the only way I have been able to describe how large this thing was).

18 month picture
We took the twins for their 18 month pictures yesterday. They did very well given our hectic day. Joan will post some on her website in a couple of weeks, but I couldn't wait to share their cute expressions. Her link is on the sidebar, but I will post when they are put on her site.
I get a CD with the pictures so I can figure out my order. I took some pictures of the computer screen in order to share. I know with family and friends living far away, they will not see the pictures on the CD. Please forgive the poor quality. The color is poor since I had to turn off the flash. The shadows are not a part of her photography, but rather from taking a picture of the computer screen. If you get a chance, come see them on the disk. They are much better.
Alex made the cutest expression here. She can crop this to be one just of Alex.
Monkey see, Monkey do - Do I have to explain any more?

Pictures Just Don't Do Justice
We hear this saying so often - pictures just don't do justice. Well the picture below does not truely show how bad Alex's head looked today. I'll try to get a better picture later.
The Story:
Earlier today, the boys were all playing outside with me and Daniel, Kirby and Glenn, and Kelci. Alex fell as he was playing and immediately a HUGE blood blister formed on his head. He did not fall far or hard, but this huge hard blister formed. Of course (even though I did not want to admit it at first) I was panicking. I called the doctor and asked to speak to the nurse immediately. the nurse said she from what I described it seemed like only a blood blister and it would go down. We were to watch him over the next 24 hours for any signs of head trama, namely vomiting. Ice and Tylenol would be all that was needed. I was still scared, so Kirby took me and Alex to our familiy doctor nearby just to get a look. Our luck, they were out at lunch. We walked over to the pharmacy and the pharmasist said that a large blister will happen when they hit their head. Everything was okay. Just put ice. So I calmed down. By that time (30 minutes later) the blister had gone down tremendously. Alex is perfectly okay. I was more scared than he was.
So . . . now were are off to take their 18 month pictures which was scheduled for 5pm. Our photographer is about to go out on maternity leave so she did not have any other appointments. She said she could edit out the bruise. If he is too cross, we will try later with the girl taking her place while on maternity leave.
NEVER a dull moment with twins, or I guess kids for that matter.

Going to Class
Kelci and Wes were playing school (instead of watching the SuperBowl that is). Alex and Aiden joined in as classmates. Can you tell who will be my trouble maker at school? Look at those eyes Kelci is giving him. (sorry for the poor quality of the photo, I just could not pass up those eyes). She would make a good teacher one day.
Then, when we got home, Aiden decided to climb on the chair, sit at the table, and begin "working" on the computer. The boys, especially Aiden, have become masters of climbing -- climbing on chairs, climbing on tables, climbing on the sofas, climbing on everything!!!
My computer is on the table because I have been working on my National Board Certification. I guess they see me on the computer so much, they know just what to do.

Bathtime
Not much to say about these pictures. The boys love their bath. I will let all the water out and they still do not want to get out.
Yes, this is Alex. He is definately growing a lot of hair lately (mostly in the back and top)
Alex loves to kiss -- even himself in the mirror.
Giving thumbs up!
What Wes would look like if he had long blue hair. I had to let him have lots of fun in the tub since he has been sick for almost a week now.
